If you've clicked on this page, chances are your relationship is worrying you a lot. Take some time to review the concepts below and then consider calling to set up an intial evaluation.
Sadly, many couples wait far too long to ask for help with their relationship. Partners live with pain and confusion for years because they don't know what to do.
Click on "Contact Us" to schedule an appointment.
1. Seek help sooner rather than later. There is no reason to live in pain when help is available. Sometimes relationships could have been saved if the couple had agreed to get counseling earlier.
2. Although you can't change your partner, you can change your relationship even if your partner isn't ready or willing to come in with you.
3. Take care of yourself and treat yourself well. Being gentle with yourself is something you can give to your realtionship.
4. Don't blurt out everything you feel in the name of honesty. Contrary to pop psychology advice, "letting it all hang out" is not healthy for your relationship.
5. Therapy requires an investment of time, money and energy, but divorce is generally more time consuming, expensive and emotionally draining.
6. Even healthy couples have "fights". It is useful to learn how to make those fights as productive and useful as possible.
